How we think
The entrepreneur on the floor knows what works. The workshops we choose to work with are already well-run and respected in their local markets. Our role is to stand alongside the owner and ask: what do you need to thrive and grow from here?
Each workshop continues exactly as before. Same name. Same team. What changes is that the owner no longer carries it alone, but as part of a group of peers who understand what it means to have built something from the ground up.
Something we consistently hear from owners who have joined is that they have found new energy. Carrying a business alone for many years takes its toll. As a partner in Däckverket you remain your own boss, but you do so in a context with peers who understand what it means to have built something from the ground up.
Däckverket is an owner group with a deep commitment to entrepreneurship in the tyre industry. Each workshop operates independently, backed by an industrial platform.

We grow through both acquisitions and development of the workshops already in the group. The two tracks go hand in hand and strengthen the whole.

Däckverket's workshops are located across Sweden, from the north to Skåne in the south, each with deep local roots and long experience of their craft. The work spans everything from passenger car tyres to heavy contracting, and from seasonal changes to advanced wheel alignment. The core of Däckverket is tyre service. The group also includes workshops with auto mechanical services, a natural complement that mirrors how many of our partners work with their customers. Behind every service stands an owner who knows their market, their customers and their workshop inside out.

The founders
Why we founded Däckverket
The Swedish tyre service market is fragmented. It holds stable, profitable businesses with loyal customers and strong local roots, but lacks structures for shared development and natural ownership transitions. Lennart Walerud and Dariush Ghatan identified the opportunity and analysed the conditions thoroughly: the economics of the industry, which ownership model would attract the right workshops, and how a group could be built to create long-term value.
The conclusion was Däckverket. Founded in 2023.

The people behind Däckverket
Däckverket was founded by Dariush Ghatan and Lennart Walerud, both experienced entrepreneurs and investors. The company is led operationally by an experienced management team and governed together with an ownership collective of active entrepreneurs.

Lennart has a background from several decades as an advisor in international corporate transactions, with responsibility for complex deals across the Nordics and Europe. At Däkverket, Lennart is part of the acquisition team and works on Däckverket's financing and ownership governance. He also works together with the workshops on the group's strategy and initiatives for long-term value creation.

Dariush Ghatan
Co-founder
Dariush has a background as an operational leader and entrepreneur in several companies in Sweden and Europe, with experience of building organisations and business models from the ground up. At Däckverket, Dariush is part of the acquisition team and works on the group's commercial development and ownership governance. He works closely with the workshop owners on concrete initiatives that strengthen the businesses.

CFO
Joakim has a background in the finance industry and has for many years worked with financing and corporate transactions. Joakim has been part of the team since Däckverket was founded and is responsible for financing and business control, among other things. Joakim is part of the acquisition team together with Lennart and Dariush.

COO
Erik has many years of experience leading and developing service businesses and has worked operationally close to both entrepreneurs and larger organisations. At Däckverket he is responsible for the integration of new workshops and the initiatives that are run, and for building the platform in a way that lasts without taking away the power of local leadership.

Åsa Neyman
Head of Finance
Åsa has solid experience from several senior positions within accounting and financial control. Ã…sa is responsible for finance and accounting at Däckverket and supports our workshops with the same.
