Sahlins Gummiverkstad, founded in Sunne in 1927 and operating in Arvika since 1936, is now part of Däckverket. Däckverket, an ownership group for high-quality tire service shops, is thus continuing its strategy of acquiring shops with strong entrepreneurial leadership that prioritize both customers and employees, and have a strong local presence.
The importance of local entrepreneurship and brand strength
Sahlins Gummiverkstad has an exceptionally strong local presence, which is a key factor for long-term business success. Däckverket’s purpose is to safeguard entrepreneurship and the role of ownership in every business. Petter Sahlin, who has been active in the business since the age of 13 and took it over from his father, Bernt Sahlin, in 2001, is now becoming a partner in Däckverket.
